DOMINO LOGIC · ORIGINAL PUZZLES

Pips. Every half counts.

Fill every cell with dominoes. Colored regions count the individual pip halves inside them. Select a tile, rotate, then tap a cell—or drag it there.

Play Pips Game Online – Pips Unlimited Puzzles

Play Pips Game online by fitting dominoes into a colored grid and satisfying the conditions printed inside its regions. Each half contributes its own pip value wherever it lands, so a single tile can affect two different rules. The game above starts immediately, with no account, countdown, or payment. Choose a difficulty, explore an arrangement, and revise it until every cell and every region fits.

New Puzzle creates another original board locally in your browser. The generator constructs a complete domino covering and derives compatible region conditions from that arrangement, then verifies the resulting puzzle. There is no daily waiting period or remote puzzle service required. Your choices can differ from the reference arrangement as long as the final covering satisfies every condition.

Choose Easy, Medium or Hard Pips Puzzles

Easy uses twelve cells and six dominoes, with small regions and a limited mix of rules. Medium expands to sixteen cells and introduces the full rule vocabulary. Hard uses twenty-four cells and larger, less predictable region shapes. The difficulty selector creates a fresh puzzle in the chosen group, so finish or save your current attempt before changing it.

Each new seed changes the construction, values, regions, and tile order. This is a generated collection rather than a short fixed rotation of levels. The finite seed space is large enough for ongoing play, though generation does not promise that every possible seed produces a mathematically unique challenge. A blank half contributes zero, which can be especially useful in small-sum regions.

How to Play Pips Game

Start by inspecting the rule labels and the available dominoes. Every tile has two visible values between zero and six. Think about where each half would land, especially when the tile crosses a colored boundary. The number beside a region label identifies that region in the status list; it is separate from the rule value that follows it.

Select, Rotate and Place Domino Tiles

Select a domino from the tray, use Rotate or press R, then tap the board cell where its first half should land. The direction label and preview show whether its second half extends right, down, left, or up. Clicking a selected tray tile also rotates it. You can instead drag a tile onto its first destination cell with a mouse or finger.

Understand Pips Game Rules and Colored Regions

A region counts only the halves physically occupying its cells. If a two-and-five domino crosses a boundary, one region receives two and the other receives five. The entire domino total is never assigned to both regions. Color groups the cells visually, while numbered rule labels and written status chips provide another way to follow each condition.

Complete the Puzzle and Check Your Answer

Cover the whole grid using every supplied domino once. Tiles must occupy two orthogonally adjacent cells and cannot overlap or extend outside the board. Check explains whether cells remain empty or a completed arrangement has a conflict. A successful covering triggers completion automatically. Next Puzzle creates a fresh challenge without asking for an account or score submission.

Pips Puzzle Game Rules Explained

Rules apply to the individual numbers within a region, including zeros. Status updates as you place, remove, or relocate dominoes. Open means the region still has empty cells and may remain achievable. Conflict means an existing choice already contradicts its condition or the completed region fails it. A conflict is information for revision, rather than a penalty that ends the game.

Number, Equal and Not Equal Rules

A plain number requires the region's values to add to that total. The equals sign requires every occupied half in the completed region to show the same value. The not-equal sign requires all values to be different from one another, not simply different across a particular domino. A repeated zero counts as a repeated value too. Any marks a region without an additional numerical condition.

Less Than and Greater Than Conditions

Less than compares the region's sum with its displayed threshold, and greater than does the same in the opposite direction. Both comparisons are strict: matching the threshold is insufficient. Partial regions are treated fairly. A sum below its eventual exact target can remain open, while a less-than region that already reaches its limit is immediately conflicting because additional nonnegative values cannot repair it.

Pips Game Tips, Hints and Strategies

Look at both ends of a candidate move before committing. A tile that solves one small region might make its neighboring region impossible. Keep track of unusually high values, blanks, and repeated numbers in your tray. If several placements seem plausible, test one and inspect the new remainder rather than filling the whole board without checking how the constraints interact.

Start with the Most Restrictive Regions

An exact zero forces every half in that region to be blank. A small exact total rules out large values. Equality favors repeated numbers, while an all-different region limits duplication. These clues can narrow the available tiles quickly. Hint places a verified reference move; if your current arrangement conflicts with that path, it returns conflicting tiles to the tray and explains the change. Undo restores your experiment.

Use Undo and Reset to Test Placements

Undo reverses the latest board change, including a removal, reset, or hint. Reset clears the active board while retaining its puzzle. To remove one placed domino, select either occupied cell and choose Return to tray. You can also select a placed tile and relocate it, or drag it directly. Use these tools to compare ideas without repeatedly generating a different challenge.

Why Play Pips Domino Puzzles Online?

Frequently Asked Questions About Pips Game

What is the Pips Game?

It is a domino logic puzzle about covering a grid and meeting regional number conditions. This independent implementation uses original generated puzzles and is not affiliated with another puzzle publisher.

Can I play Pips Unlimited for free?

Yes. Every difficulty, hint, and generated puzzle is free. New Puzzle creates the next board locally without a daily access limit.

How do you rotate dominoes in Pips Game?

Use Rotate, press R while working in the game, or click a selected tray domino. Four turns restore its orientation, preserving the two actual pip values.

What do the colored regions mean in Pips?

They identify groups of cells governed by one condition. Read each group's number or symbol, then use the status chips to distinguish open, met, and conflicting regions.

Can I play Pips Game on mobile?

Yes. Tap a tile and destination cell, or drag with your finger. The controls wrap on narrow screens. Saved progress stays on the current browser and does not synchronize between devices.
